In addition to this large provider network,  Exemplar also owns a PBM (Prescription Benefits Manager) and a TPA (Third Party Administrator). By controlling the margins of the major components of the self-insured marketplace, Exemplar has the ability to become extraordinarily competitive.

Upon receiving a completed review package, Exemplar uses state-of-the-art software that cross-references areas of high claim utilization and provides solutions that reduce out-of-pocket costs for the employer and employee.
